I'm sorry the picture is rubbish, but trust me it looks absolutely STUNNING as a pendant and all the elegant enamelled links and creamy pearls from the original fob have been used to create a very wearable 18ct white gold 18" necklace by our workshop in the Jewellery Quarter.
The original bale and the watch itself are unchanged and the new owner has retained the offcuts so it can be returned to its original state in the future, but I think it looks so much better this way. More importantly it has been transformed into a unique and wearable piece of jewellery now!
We're all really thrilled it has found a new home and will be worn and admired by all. I wish we'd have taken the plunge ages ago - it's just difficult sometimes to be brave and make the decision to change something so old and so unique. Then again if we had made the change mom and I would have been fighting over who should keep it!
